For the past few days, a reporter from Republic TV (Bharat) has allegedly been in the news for the wrong reasons. There are posts going viral on social media where the reporter was thrown out of the press conference by the other reporters.

Why were Republic TV reporters thrown out by other journalists at Neha Bora’s press conference?

The reporter’s name is Harsh Vardhan, and as per the allegations, he was involved in a tense confrontation at the Delhi Press Club during a joint press conference held by activist Neha Bora and CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke

There are multiple videos where the OPs are alleging that two reporters from Republic TV came with the intent of spoiling the press conference of Neha Bora and Abhijit Dipke. Such was the backlash that the other reporters intervened and threw out the two Republic journalists from the Press Conference.

In one video, the Republic reporter could be heard asking Neha Bora and Dipke, “Are you trying to change the regime here in India just like it happened in Nepal and Bangladesh?“

What did the Visuals Indicate?

As per the videos going viral on social media, Dipke and Neha Bora were conducting the Press Conference. Before both of them started stating their points, two journalists from Republic TV kept on interjecting questions.

The Republic journalists were relentless and did not show any intent that they were there to listen to the Press Conference of Bora and Dipke.

From the visuals, one could see that only the Republic journalists were hell-bent to not allow Bora and Dipke to speak while the other journalists were trying to calm down the republic journalists.

At one time, Neha Bora could be seen requesting the Republic Journalists to calm down and allow the press conference to happen, but the two journalists paid no heed and kept on shouting in between.

Republic TV’s Clarification

During their TV Broadcast, Republic claims that their journalist had only raised the question of promoting the Bangladesh Anarchy model to Neha Bora and Dipke, which caused the confrontation.

But as per the videos of many reporters who were there at the site, the reporters of Republic TV were deliberately creating obstruction and were not allowing the press conference to happen smoothly, which angered the surrounding journalists, who then made sure that those two reporters were shown the exit.

Abhijit Dipke’s Response

When the Republic TV reporters were creating a nuisance, Dipke intervened and joked that someone please pay them Rs 50 or 100 to silence them.

Dipke later claimed on Instagram that one of the Republic reporters caused bruises to one of the female journalists.
