Recently, a video got viral on Instagram where a dentist named Dr. Muskan Soni could be seen making insensitive comments on the matter of Ketan Agarwal’s death. Dr. Muskan could be seen saying, “The boy from Pune, he didn’t have hair. If you tell such lies, then you will die, obviously. So hastag I hate Men”

Dr. Muskan didn’t just stop there. She further said, “Two men have died, and the entire community of men is now fearing.” followed by a psychotic laugh. She was referring to the incident of Ketan’s death, where the investigation revealed that Ketan was suffering from hair loss and was using a hair patch to enhance his appearance.

Dr. Muskan’s mocking video went viral, and now the AIDSA has suspended her membership for 5 years.

What is AIDSA?

AIDSA is a non-governmental organization that works as a voice for the Indian dentists. As per their statement, they have suspended Muskan Soni with immediate effect due to her insensitive comments on the Ketan Agarwal Death case. Dr. Soni has been a member of AIDSA since 2021.

“In its official statement, AIDSA said her conduct was inconsistent with the values, ethics, and professional standards expected from its members, leading to immediate disciplinary action.” the AIDSA said on suspending Dr. Muskan soni

Will the suspension affect Dr. Muskan’s Career?

Not really. The AIDSA is not a government organization, and Dr. Soni would be able to continue her practice. Her suspension from AIDSA only means that she will not be able to represent AIDSA in any capacity, or participate in meetings, events, or conferences of AIDSA, and will not be able to exercise rights associated with her office or membership.

Following the controversy that erupted after her mocking video went viral, Dr. Muskan Soni has deleted that particular video and has also issued an apology for her comments. Her video is available on many social media platforms, and netizens may not forget or forgive Dr. Soni for her distasteful comments on Ketan Agarwal’s appearance.

While Dr. Muskan Soni was apologetic about her distasteful comments in the later video, she opined that the public is wrong to troll her for the comments and that she said “I hate men” only because of past bad experiences with men. She tried to justify that she is not a bad person.
