YouTuber Dhruv Rathee, who was all of a sudden detained at his house yesterday, has now revealed what exactly happened to him. The Youtuber accounts the harrowing experience with the police and claims that it’s an unofficial emergency that has been set upon by Narendra Modi

Dragged me From Bed

Rathee, in his Instagram reel, revealed that he was at his home when all of a sudden, a few policemen disguised as civilians knocked at his door. According to Rathee, a lot of men barged into his room when his mother opened the door, and the situation became chaotic for his mother, his father, and him.

“They barged into our house. My mother shouted. They covered each and every corner of our house, came into my bedroom. I woke up when they barged into my bedroom. Before I could react, these people literally kidnapped me. I am using the word kidnapped because this is not an arrest or detention. More than 50 people were standing outside my house.”

Marks on the Body

“They applied force against my body. There are marks here and there. And after that, they didn’t even give me a chance to put on my slippers. They picked me up just as I was and locked me in a jeep. The people immediately drove off in the jeep, taking me from one police station to another. And there’s no video of this either because they had immediately taken away my phone.

Didn’t allow Lawyer

“They snatched my parents’ phone, and after that, when I reached the police station, I said, “Let me meet my lawyer.” They said, “We won’t let you meet any lawyer; we won’t let you access any phone.” So they kept me sitting there for almost 22–23 hours. They held me captive here and said, “No, no, there’s no risk, there’s no detention. Don’t worry, go to sleep.” But basically, I would use the word “kidnapping.” They kidnapped me and kept me for 22–23 hours. They didn’t let me access my phone, talk to a lawyer, or do anything.”
