There are accusations in the Indian media that the Cockroach Janta Party is seizing the opportunity to make quick money by selling its merchandise to the Indian people. The Instagram handle has nearly 22 million followers, and their official website can now be accessed in India.
But are these accusations true that the CJP Party is now selling merchandise? Do they really have significant followers from countries other than India?
Accusation of Selling Merchandise
Republic Media, one of the well-known Indian media, claimed during a podcast that the CJP party is monetizing the opportunity of its large followers. They showed images of the CJP party selling their merchandise on their website.
However, we cross-checked the claim and found out that lots of unofficial websites have erupted very recently, and one of them is selling the merchandise. This is not the official website. The official domain of the CJP Party is CockroachJantaParty.com
These unofficial websites cannot be guaranteed to be safe for browsing,, and it is likely that many of them have emerged recently in order to get the traffic from Google so that they can sell things to the Indian people. We highly recommend not visiting or making payments on such unofficial websites.
Accusation of Significant Followers from Other Countries
Claims from Republic TV also include that a significant number of Instagram followers of the CJP Party are from the following countries

While Republic Media made big claims, they did not show the source of their information. The actual demographics cannot be known accurately except by the Instagram handle owner. Dipke, a few days back, claimed that 94% of his followers are from India.
