A video is going viral on social media showing that an Indian tourist is being continuously refused to be given any item by a Vietnamese Shopkeeper while the shopkeeper continues to sell the items to other customers.

In the video, the Indian tourist can be seen losing his cool after repeatedly being denied the purchase of things. He calls for the manager while the Shopkeeper continues to indicate to him to get out of the shop. The incident has sparked a heated debate online with many netizens taking the side of the Indian man.

The Indian man repeatedly requests the intervention of the manager and the police. After a few minutes, the matter seemed to have calmed down when a translator intervened and clarified that there was some communication gap between the Indian tourist and the shopkeeper, which caused the tension.

In the end, the Shopkeeper and the tourist ended the conflict with a handshake and a smile, but the incident raised eyebrows. High Indian tourists can be treated harshly in a foreign country if no intervention is made by a higher authority.

Whose Fault?

While from the video, one can clearly see that the shopkeeper was at fault for not serving the Indian customer, however, many people commented that this racist sort of behaviour towards Indian is because of the image of a lack of civic sense that is perceived by the people of other countries.

Many people from Vietnam also condemned the racist behaviour of the shopkeeper, but requested that one individual should not be considered as the representative of the entire country.
