CJP founder Abhijit Dipke has taken a sharp dig at Subhash Chandra and the NCLT after news came that the NCLT restructured nearly Rs 22,000 crores of debt for clearance with just Rs 6 crores for Mr. Subhash Chandra.

Dipke alleged that such preferential treatment is not given to the common man of India.

He further questioned how the remaining amount from the reported ₹22,000 crore debt would be accounted for after the ₹6 crore settlement. Dipke alleged that the financial burden would ultimately be passed on to taxpayers.

“Why don’t people like us get this facility which people like Subhash Chandra ji and other businessmen gets? And this settlement of Rs 22,000 crore loan with just Rs 6 crores, just think how the remaining money will be recovered? It will be recovered from our tax money. This is the reality. This is how the system works.

The media baron has been in the news lately as many netizens are claiming that Chandra has been waived of 99% of his loan by the NCLT.

It is to be noted that Chandra had not personally borrowed the money. The ₹22,006.57 crore represents admitted claims against him in his capacity as guarantor.
