In a recent interview, Abhijeet Dipke, founder of Cockroach Janta Party, has outlined the reason why he will not engage with Godi Media, i.e., media companies that are perceived to be supporters of the Narendra Modi-led BJP government.

Many days ago, Dipke released a statement on CJP Insta profile that he will not be interacting with Godi Media. When asked about which channels are running after him for an interview, Dipke mentioned the mainstream media channels, Republic, NDTV, ABP, etc.

When asked about why he went ahead with an interview with India Today, which is perceived as the Godi Media, Dipke opined that it was because of the anchor. As per Dipke, he received interview requests from many reporters of India Today, but he didn’t respond to them.

During the interview, Dipke indicated his soft corner with Umar Khalid by opining that if he goes on to Godi Media, he will be labelled as

“Tukde Tukde Gang, Naxalites, Urban Naxals. So, whatever the point will be, they will establish me as Anti-India only or a terrorist, then, how does it serve the purpose? I think its time to make a statement that we need to disengage with such kind of compromised institutes, it is very necessary because the more we engage with them, the more TRP they will get because of me. So why should I help them in gaining TRPs? If i remain disengaged with them, then they may realize that they keep doing this now. So its also about making that statement.”
