Ranjish was a bus conductor in Idukki Kumily, and had a wife and son. Reports say that his wife was in a live-in relationship with a man in the Gulf with whom she was staying for the last 8 years. The son had been living with his father Ranjish, ever since he was born.

Recently, she came back home to Kozhimala and filed a divorce case against Ranjish and asked for the custody of her son, which the court granted.

Unable to bear the court order, Ranjish gulped down poison in distress when he was alone. He was given treatment, but unfortunately, didn’t survive.
