In today’s day and age, when people are getting married later, they are wondering whether they will be able to conceive a child easily or not. Very recently, Sambhavna Seth revealed the pregnancy via surrogacy and that the pregnancy is in its last stage. The news sent joy amongst the subscribers and well-wishers, who had witnessed Sambhavna during her failed IVF attempts.
It would have been difficult for any woman to conceive naturally at such an old age; however, many people may not know that the actress had frozen her eggs and embryos nearly a decade ago in 2016, which allowed her to go through surrogacy.
We asked Dr. Vaishali Waseem Nore, a leading homeopathic practitioner in Dubai, UAE, about the importance of egg freezing and embryo freezing at the earliest.
“One important aspect that is still not discussed enough in society is fertility preservation through egg freezing and embryo freezing at a younger age. Many women today choose to delay pregnancy due to career goals, health reasons, emotional readiness, or personal circumstances. However, fertility naturally declines with age, especially after the mid-30s, affecting both egg quality and pregnancy outcomes.”
“Advanced fertility planning through egg or embryo freezing can significantly improve the chances of achieving pregnancy later in life, whether naturally, through IVF, or even through surrogacy if needed in the future.”
“Sambhavna’s journey highlights an important reality that infertility is not just a physical condition but also an emotional and psychological challenge for many couples.”
In a country, where the average age of marriage is increasing due to multiple reasons, Dr.Vaishali suggests that couples think of egg- freezing and embryo freezing, whether or not they choose to have kids later on.
Doctors generally consider the late 20s to early 30s as the most effective period for fertility preservation because egg quality declines with age.
However, care must be taken that freezing eggs at a younger age does not guarantee pregnancy later, but it can significantly improve the chances compared to relying only on natural fertility at an advanced age.
