Sabeer Bhatia, in his X post, recently asked whether it’s the Gujaratis’ and Marwaris’ kids who lack manners, or if it’s the same for every family in India. The entrepreneur’s outspoken words caused a furore amongst Indians on social media.

In his post, Sabeer asked, “I wonder if it’s only the Gujaratis and Marwaris who don’t teach their kids good manners at home, or if it includes all others as well.”

His question/opinion came after he criticized the viral Garba dance of the Indians at the airport.

Many people objected to Bhatia’s opinion, questioning the narrative that the Marwaris’ and Gujaratis’ families do not instill enough values in their children.

Bhatia responded that he is not implying but rather simply asking it from the people whether such a narrative is true!

Netizens Reaction

Just like with most of his opinions, Sabeer got flak severely for this comment also. Netizens commented that the entrepreneur targeted only certain communities and noted that he did not dare to question the minority community.

There were certain comments in favour of Bhatia’s opinion also and they opined that India’s lack of civic sense needs to be addressed at home first.
