Speculation is arising after Gaurav Taneja, aka Flying Beast, revealed in his recent vlog about his wife’s last flight. In the vlog, his wife revealed that it was her last flight; however did not indicate whether she has resigned from the company or has retired from her pilot career.
In the vlog, Ritu Rathee Taneja revealed that she decided to leave because of the inflexible flying schedule that she was facing.
After completing her B.Sc. in Chemistry, Ritu Rathee Taneja obtained her training for pilot in the US. She got promoted to Captain in 2020, which she documented, showing her gratitude.
“In this profession, you are out, sometimes even upto 3 days. You can’t handle kids in such scenario. You are not in touch with your friends. There is no schedule. This is the worst thing about the flying career. If the schedule is not fixed, especially for the woman, then it becomes very difficult to take care of the kids. I could have continued if there was a fixed schedule.” Ritu Rathee said in the vlog.
While both the husband and wife did not revealed whether Ritu is taking a break or retiring permanently but Taneja said phrases like “Your last flight” indicating that Ritu Rathee may have taken an early retirement from her pilot career.
