The Pakistani police have issued a clarification video about the self-driving car accident a few days ago. The police have dismissed any offence and have gone on to praise the entrepreneur’s innovation, calling the invention the “Future of Pakistan”

An embarrassing video emerged from Pakistan a few days ago, where a young entrepreneur by the name of Ehsan Zafar Abbasi, demonstrating a self-driving car, crashes into a police car patrolling at the side of the road. The individual could be seen trying to control the car with the handbrake when the car was about to hit the police car, but unfortunately couldn’t do it.

The clarification of the car crash incident was given by Islamabad Police on their Twitter handle, where SP Dr. Ayaz Hussain stated that he found no evidence of intent by the young entrepreneur who crashed the prototype self-driving car into the police car.

It was a Human Mistake, Admits the Student

SP Dr. Ayaz Hussain stated in the video that the self-driving accident was a human mistake. The student, Ehsan Zafar Abbasi, explained that the cause of the crash was that the wrong button on the controller was pressed mistakenly, which led to the accident.

Safety Concerns Remain Unanswered Despite Police Praise

While the police defended the entrepreneur and even commended the act by calling it the “Future of Pakistan”, they failed to explain the possible mishap that could have happened if pedestrians, the elderly, young children, or another vehicle were there on the road at the time of the accident.
