If reports are to be believed, then the Pakistan Cricket Board has threatened to boycott the Lord’s Test match against England as the broadcaster SkySports has aired an interview of Imran Khan’s son.
PCB Complains To Sky Sports Over Imran Khan Sons’ Interview
Many media outlets are reporting that the PCB has lodged a formal complaint against Sky Sports, the host broadcaster for showing the interview in which Imran Khan’s sons, Kasim and Sulaiman, are being interviewed by Michael Atherton.
The interview was conducted by former England captain and Sky Sports broadcaster Michael Atherton and was aired during the first day of the second Test between England and Pakistan at Lord’s.
The restraint from the PCB comes at a time when there is a strong appeal from Pakistani people and the cricket fraternity for the release of their ex-prime minister Imran Khan.
During the interview, the sons raised concerns about their father, stating that only one family visit has been allowed for the cricketer in jail for the last ten months.
Imran Khan has been in prison for nearly three years now and recent news about his deteriorating health and worsening eyesight made headlines.

They also stated that their visas have been blocked by the Pakistani government where they claim that it is blocked on technical grounds.
Kasim and Sulaiman stated that although they have fear of getting arrested if they land in Pakistan but they still want to take that risk in order to meet their father in prison.
They opined that their father’s prison conditions are far from ideal in the sense that there is no air conditioner and the conditions are quite hot. The sons also revealed that Khan is suffering from high blood pressure apart from the eye problem, and that the cricketer has lost nearly 80% of his vision in the right eye.
A few days ago, many prominent cricketers, including Kapil Dev, wrote a letter to the Pakistani government asking for humane treatment of the ex-prime minister.

The Guardian reported that the PCB complained to Sky Sports and that the Pakistan team briefly considered not returning to the field after lunch. The England and Wales Cricket Board reportedly intervened before play resumed.
