A clip is going viral on social media where YouTuber Sourav Joshi could be heard saying that the mileage of his BMW car has dropped from 17 kmpl to 5 kmpl. A prominent publisher claims that the clip is from his latest vlog at the 4th minute mark.
However, upon checking that vlog, we didn’t find any criticism of the E20 petrol whatsoever during the entire vlog.
What did Sourav Joshi said about the E20 Petrol problem?
“Guys, it feels so bad. Yesterday I showed you that our car’s mileage had dropped from 17 straight to 9. And today, do you know how much it has become? Today it has become 5, bro. It’s showing a mileage of 5. Bro, what has happened because of ethanol, yaar? Now I don’t know when this car will break down, bro.
Yeah, yaar, a mileage of 5 is very low, guys. What will happen to us, bro? We have spent so much money on this car, and look.
Guys, these days I’m actually scared of getting petrol filled. What if the car gets damaged? Because these days a lot of cars are getting damaged because of adulteration.
And it’s a good thing that I bought the G-Wagon Electric, not the petrol one. First of all, petrol costs a lot more, and then, bro, if it got damaged, the repair would also be a huge expense. Now we’ll drive that one, we’ll drive the G-Wagon, because it’s electric, so there’s no problem. Just plug in the charger here, charge it here, and drive it. It runs for 500 kilometers.”
— Sourav Joshi clip about E20 criticism doing rounds on social media
Initially, we thought that maybe a Deepfake clip of Sourav Joshi got viral, where he and his wife Avantika were travelling in a car when the criticism of E20 petrol started.
But when we checked the comments of the vlog, we noticed that people had highlighted the timestamp when the criticism around E20 happened in the video. However, upon clicking the timestamp, the footage didn’t show a conversation where Sourav Joshi was talking about a problem with E20 petrol.

Fearing action from the government, did Sourav Joshi delete the E20 criticism part from his vlogs?
In the clip that has gone viral, Sourav Joshi could be seen concerned about the drop in mileage of his four-wheeler. He also opined that he feels afraid to fill petrol in his car these days, hinting at the E20 petrol concern.
But those comments are now missing from his vlogs, indicating that they have been removed by the YouTuber. The reason for removing it could only be known to Sourav Joshi.
Very recently, news emerged that prominent YouTuber Manish Kasyap had filed an FIR from Toyota company after he made a video where he alleged that his Toyota Hycross car stopped functioning due to Ethanol Blended petrol. The information about the FIR being filed on the YouTuber came from Nitin Gadkari during an interview with a TV channel.
