Bollywood actor Salman Khan has lauded the efforts of the students in the ongoing protests at Jantar Mantar. Khan, is one of the first Bollywood superstar who has expressed his support for the students.

Many netizens have been questioning the silence of the bollywood stars on the critical matter. But now with Salman Khan’s Tweet message, there could be a likelihood that other superstars may reveal their opinion too.

“Appreciates Students’ Dedication Towards Education“

In what could be termed as surprise, the Tweet from Salman Khan expressed solidarity to the students for the peaceful protests. As per the actor,

“I truly appreciate the stand they have taken, showing dedication, sincerity, and keenness to study hard n make their future and a greater, educated India.” wrote Salman Khan.

Khan emphasized that the protest was peaceful and students were courageous and that the movement should not get politicised.

“This issue is between the students and the educational system, it should not be hijacked politically, the credit should only go to the students of our country.” wrote the actor in his Twitter message.

Trouble for Modi Government?

In the last 3 days, prominent celebrities have showed solidarity to students and now with Salman Khan’s support for the students, it is only going to compel the government to take the matter seriously.

Traumatic footage has come from the last three days, which shows police using brutal methods to contain the protests. While the student may have gone beyond their way to show anger and frustration, the use of lathis and tear gas has been heavily condemned by many netizens and prominent personalities.
