TV Anchor Rubika Liyaquat has warned of strict legal action on a Twitter handle for spreading a misleading video about her, which got viral. The Twitter handle name is National Dastak which posted one of her partial clip from Times Now programme.
What is it in the video Shared by The Twitter User?
In the video, the anchor Rubika Liyaquat could be seen explaining a reduction in the vehicle’s mileage when using E20 petrol. The anchor appears to make a small mistake in the end by saying that the vehicle will run 94% instead of saying 94 km.
Sharing the clip on his handle, the Twitter user wrote in the caption “If you haven’t watched this video and math, you haven’t watched anything.”

The partial video got so much viral that fans are trolling the anchor for her mathematics. The video has gotten nearly half a million views till now and the comments may be harsh.

What is there in the Real Video?
Soon after the video went viral and people started trolling her for her maths and knowledge, Rubika shared the video which had more seconds of the footage and it appeared she had rectified her mistake immediately and eventually said 94 km.

Deliberate or by Mistake?
After Rubika warned of legal action, the Twitter handle uploaded the complete TV footage and admitted that the video they had earlier shared was incomplete. They blamed the other Twitter account from which they reposted the video on their handle.
This incident also shows that people should not blindly trust social media and that due diligence is critical to combat misleading information.
