Major Rishabh Singh Sambyal, who was Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to President Droupadi Murmu, has submitted a voluntary resignation from the Armed forces. As per media reports, Major Rishabh served in the Jat regiment before moving to 4 Para SF.

Reasons for Major Rishabh Sambyal’s Voluntary Resignation from Indian Army

The exact reason for taking the voluntary resignation has not been revealed by the Major, but he indicated that the decision came because of personal and family reasons. He served in the Indian Army for nearly 12 years.

He thanked the people for supporting him and opined that it was his childhood dream to serve the nation. He initially wanted to become a pilot in the Indian Air Force, but as fate had it, he joined the Indian Army.

The news was revealed by Major Sambyal himself on his YouTube channel. He also revealed some personal information about his life: he is neither married nor in a relationship at the current moment.

Major Rishabh Singh Sambyal was rooted for his good looks on social media. Several clips of him assisting President Murmu also circulated widely. One viral moment showed him attentively helping the President’s granddaughter, while other videos showed him accompanying the President during official engagements.

Major Rishabhi Singh Sambyal joined the National Defence Academy (NDA) in 2013, 2014 in Khadakwasla, reportedly as part of the 133rd NDA Course.

After completing NDA training, proceeded to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, for further officer training.

He served in the Jat Regiment after completing his Lieutenant role in the Indian army. Then in the early 2020s, he joined the 4 Para (Special Forces).

It was in 2024, that Major Rishabh Sambyal was assigned as the ADC to President Droupadi Murmu.

That is not the case. I am not planning to leave India. I will be here contributing to our nation along with you. And that is my future plan.
