Actress Kanika Mann revealed chilling details about her first relationship on the Bigg Boss 20 episode 30th October. She spoke of alleged physical abuse, threats, and an incident involving a knife, and how she eventually took help from the police.

Kanika Mann Recalls Her Ex-Boyfriend’s Alleged Abuse

Kanika says she met her first boyfriend in her first year of college, via a Facebook account. What started off as a relationship became very frightening as he would turn up unannounced at her class and once actually slapped her on the striped kurta she was wearing. She remembers the assault caused her ears to bleed as she’d just had a piercing at that point.

The actress also claimed he would threaten to get in touch with her father and reveal about her relationship status if she refused to go with him at his private place.

Kanikaa admits that in hindsight, she said she’d have liked her father to have answered one of those calls, as it may have enabled her to get out of the relationship earlier, but that didn’t happen.

Knife Incident Led to Police Intervention

Kanika recounted the incident, which was the final straw that got her to seek help. Her ex-boyfriend had followed her from the hostel to her college department. She said he grabbed her hand, pulled her hair, and took out a knife, with which he cut his own hand very deeply to apply sindoor with his blood.

Kanika said she immediately got someone to call the police. She said her ex was taken into custody and was in jail for two or three days, with his family allegedly continuing to threaten her. She was frightened to tell her family, but they were absolutely supportive and very understanding once Kanikaa told them about everything.

The man’s identity has not been established in the reports we’ve seen, and we have no information as to his response to Kanika’s allegations. Her account is still just an allegation made on television. It’s not an independently verified account of the events.
