Veteran actor Sanket Upadhaya, who was known for his stint with NDTV and recently with The Red Mike has started his own Youtube Channel. The announcement was made by him on Linkedin.

Sanket Upadhaya revealed the reason of his absence from journalism for four months. His mother Kumud Upadhaya had passed away in October 2025 and Sanket opined that the grief was too much for him which is why he took such a long break.

The YouTuber revealed that his mother stood by him through every phase of his journalistic journey — from seeing his first byline in the profession to witnessing the final segment of Upadhaya’s time on The Red Mike, witnessing his growth, struggles, and defining moments firsthand.

Upadhaya’s stint on the The Red Mike with his show “Isharon Isharon Mein” had an impressive viewership. Sanket had previously announced in January of joining as the Op-Ed on Amar Ujala.

Sanket’s new Youtube channel name is DoubleCheck By Sanket Upadhyay on which he will be posting his news content. The former NDTV anchor opines that the aim of this Youtube channel is to cross verify the facts related to the news to ensure the right perspective is narrated to the viewer.

As soon as the announcement was made, fans expressed their joy on seeing the return of their favourite anchor. Sanket is known to ask tough questions from the government and is often considered a part of left wing group.
