In what could be considered eyebrow-raising, Jiang Xueqin, the Canadian-Chinese commentator and geopolitician, is getting viral because of a bold prediction he made in 2024 that not only would Trump return to a presidential run but would even go to war with Iran.

But here is what gets interesting. He had also predicted that the US would lose the war with Iran.

He came to fame as one of the most controversial geopolitical forecasters ever after his previous prophecies came true.

What Did He Predict and How Did He Become Famous?

Jiang came out with three daring predictions in 2024: Donald Trump would be elected as the president in 2025, the U.S. would go to war with Iran, and America would eventually lose the war. The first two predictions have already been realised, which has catapulted Jiang to a new level of credibility, as well as the videos.

His statement comes at a time when Bloomberg reports are suggesting that the war is causing significant cash bleed for America more than it is for Iran, as a 20,000 USD-priced drone used by Iran is intercepted by America using missiles that are a whopping 4 million dollars.

Who Is Professor Jiang?

Professor Jiang Xuegin is a Canadian-Chinese historian and geopolitical commentator who is most famous as the founder of a YouTube channel known as Predictive History, where he predicts geopolitical events using Game theory. Graduated from Yale, he is considered an independent mind whose incisive and unconventional predictions have transformed him into one of the most discussed geopolitical voices on the internet as of today.

Why He Says the U.S. Will Lose the War

During a recent interview with Breaking Points, Xuegin argues that Iran is a nation that has 20 years to prepare to engage in this conflict through the religious eschatology that has led to the interpretation of the fight as a war against the Great Satan. He references the 12-day clash that he had with the U.S and Israel last June as a captive exercise, allowing Iran eight months to perfect its tactics.

As Jiang notes, the proxies of Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Shia militias have learned and internalised the reaction patterns of the Americans, which created a joint asymmetrical force. At the same time, Iran has already attacked the GCC countries, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Bahrain by bombarding their civilian areas, apart from targeting the crucial military assets of the US in Gulf countries.
