Former TV sensation Raghu Ram opened up about his baldness and how it affected him. The former central figure of Roadies in an interview with Digital Commentary admitted that going bald wasn’t an easy thing for him and that he simply made up his mind one day and instructed the barber to make him completely bald despite the hesitation from the barber.

“Actually, my hair was falling out. You had two options — either do what you do, come over, or cover it up and hide it in some way. I didn’t want that. I wanted it to be like, ‘Hey, what’s going on? Your hair is falling off, let’s just blow it off.’ We’ll see the fight and he left. I said, ‘Blow it up, brother.’ He said, ‘I can do it, I can fix it.’ He said it’s not okay, I have to do this — take it that way and clean it. It was December, Delhi… oh brother.”

Raghu opined that the decision to adopt baldness also aligned with his thought process where he wanted to appear unique to the TV audience as there weren’t many bald people back in the day.

And that’s quite true as people had fascination towards Raghu and his personality because of the baldness. In 2008, Raghu brought on board his brother Rajiv Laxman that even garnered more eyeballs and even TV ratings.

During a podcast with Digital Commentary, Raghu admits that he may have bullied unintentionally to few contestants when he was the judge of the reality TV show Roadies.

When the interviewer asked “Do you feel you may have bullied someone unintentionally in roadies at some point of time?” to which Raghu replied “I think so. I used to justify myself at that time but I felt that I shouldn’t have done that.”^Ref..

There was no doubt that contestants feared RaghuRam during audition and the auditions were more popular because of that. Raghu also opined that he did tried redemption by apologizing to those contestants on camera in the auditions of the following years.

Raghu opined that he may have done one good thing was that “I apologized to many contestants on camera the following years.” ^Ref..

It is never been easy to endure a pregnancy of the twins. Roadies fame RaghuRam and RajivLaxman’s mother had to endure a difficult pregnancy when the doctors revealed in the diganosis that the babies likely have two heads but one spine and that it could be monster baby. The revealation was made by Raghu himself during a podcast with Digital Commentary. ^Ref.

Raghu revealed that the doctor were not sure that both babies would survive. “You have two boys. If both of them come out alive, it would be a miracle. One might come alive. The second one was me. So I was in the incubator for 10 days.” Raghu said in the podcast. ^Ref.

Previously, Raghu had mentioned during many of his interviews that the twins were severely underweight during their birth. Their father had to wait three months while the mother had to wait few days to hold them because they were extremely delicate due to being underweight.

Raghu Ram was born on 15th April 1975 to Viswanath Ambadapudi and mother is Radha Viswanath. His father was a Chartered Accountant while his mother was a political affairs journalist and author. Raghu is the identical twin brother of RajixLaxman. and also has a younger sister by the name of Supriya Nistala.
