He has been in the news lately in September for using derogatory word for the Indian captain SuryaKumar Yadav after the Ind vs Pak match on 14th September 2025 ^Ref.. On multiple occasions, Mohammad Yousuf has been seen using biased opinion against Indian Cricket Team.

Very recently, Mohammad Yousuf sided with Shahid Afridi when Afridi made a sarcastic remark about an umpire who gave OUT to Fakhar Zaman in the Ind Pak match on 21st September which India won comfortably. Afridi joked that the umpire was scared to give not out as he could have missed IPL opportunities for giving decisions not in favour of the Indian Cricket Team
