Sabeer Bhatia, the Hotmail co-founder, has now also lend help to Deepak by purchasing his gym membership. This comes after 15 SC lawyers joined Deepak’s gym 1 year membership after the existing members plummeted from 150 to 15.

The announcement was made by Sabeer Bhatia on his Instagram account. The Hotmail co-founder often makes criticism on issues which happens in India. Sabeer has urged fellow netizens to also support Deepak in whatever way possible.

Sabeer lives in the US and commented that it’s a way of showing support even when he is unlikely to visit the gym.

“I did what I thought was right.” wrote Sabeer in the comment section

Support seems to be pouring in now for Deepak, who has trended with “Mohammad Deepak” after he took a brave stand to defend an old man named Vakeel Ahmed, the elderly shopkeeper from the Muslim community. However, the controversy brought a lot of limelight due to the sensitive nature of religion being involved. Deepak’s gym membership took a significant hit with many existing members stopping coming to it after the controversy, and some even left the membership and demanding refund for it.

After the controversy happened, everyone thought Deepak would be supported, but news emerged that the police had also registered an FIR against Deepak on behalf of the right-wing supporters who fought with Deepak on that particular day.

In one of his interviews, Deepak revealed receiving threats from the right-wing supporters and even broke down, citing security concerns for his elderly mother, wife, and children.

Deepak Kumar, who owns the Hulk Gym in Kotdwar, revealed that the gym membership is the primary source of livelihood for Deepak, and his elderly mother also runs a tea stall for meagre earnings that help in the livelihood of the family.
