Indian-German Youtuber who often remains in the news for his strong criticism of Indian government especially under Modi, has now taken another dig at the Indian Prime Minister, calling him worse than a donkey.

Its not everyday that you get to see Dhruv Rathee being interviewed in a podcast. Dhruv was recently in India and had a conversation with K K Create on many aspects.

The Youtuber discussed about the current regime on many aspects.

One of the interesting discussions was about joining politics and whether he gets funding. Dhruv opined that he has not been approached to join a party and neither he is interested in entering politics. He also rebuffed the evergoing rumors about receiving funding and opined that he doesn’t get it from anyone.

“Even a Donkey is Better than Modi” Dhruv Rathee on Indian PM

Dhruv was opiniating that the country is portrayed a perception that there is only strong leader in India under whom everyone is working. He opined that the government curtails actions of those ministers who take unique and progressive steps. As per the Youtuber, appointing minister should be done on work merit, who are good in their fields and have honest intentions.

When KK asked Dhruv on what he should tell voters of not having a second choice other than Narendra Modi, to which Rathee replied

“Nobody has done so much damage to the country than the government under him. Anyone else is better than him. Even an actual donkey is better than Modi because he won’t do anything — and doing nothing is much better than destroying the country like this.”
— Dhruv Rathee on a podcast

Dhruv who resides in Germany, stated that living in abroad is feasible for him as it allows him to criticize on issues that needs spotlight.

This is not the first time that Dhruv had used strong criticism for the government. Before the 2024 elections, Dhruv released a video, as a way to influence the voting. The video witnessed a whopping 26 million views.

Critics of Dhruv argue that the Youtuber largely criticizes only one party which is the ruling party and has never done legitimate criticism on the opposition like Congress.

While one may argue whether Dhruv Rathee is biased or not, I personally feel that his criticism for the Modi government is based largely based on facts and ground reality instead of the perception that is depicted in the media.
