Ehsan-ur-Rahim, also known as Danish, is a Pakistani officer who was posted at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi. After tension arose, India inflicted heavy damage on Pakistan and eventually made them appeal for a ceasefire.
On the 13th of May, Danish was declared persona non grata (meaning unwelcome person) by the Indian government and was asked to leave the country within 24 hours.
Jyoti came into contact with Danish in 2023 after she went to the Pakistan High Commission to get a Visa. According to the FIR against Jyoti, she had visited Pakistan multiple times in 2023 and was also in touch with Ali Ahwan, who is allegedly a close friend of Ehsan-ur-Rahim (aka Danish) Ref..
Danish is alleged to have had an intimate relationship with Jyoti Malhotra, and there is news that the two of them even went to Bali. As per a Press conference, a senior police official stated that it was “alarming” that Jyoti was in constant touch with the Pakistani officials during the war mode time when both countries were attacking each other from 6- 10th May 2025. The official clarified that Jyoti did not have any direct access to “sensitive defence information”.
