After the fiasco where Professor Neha Singh claimed confidently that the robo dog Orion was build by the Galgotia University, speculations are on the rise whether the University has fired Professor Neha Singh for her blunder claims at the AI Summit event at Delhi.
After a Chinese X handle revealed the truth about the Robo Dog, Prof Neha Singh could be seen making U Turn from her earlier claims and stated that her comments were misinterpreted by the media. Neha Singh later commented “Your 6 can be my 9” which went viral.
It is hard to believe that despite having an experience in Communication and Soft Skills, Prof Neha Singh was not aware about the actual development and history before making a tall claim at the world stage that “Orion The Robo Dog” was built by the Galgotias University.
Did Galgotia University told Neha Singh to Claim so and so?
While it is easy to blame Prof Neha Singh for the fiasco, one is forced to think whether Neha Singh was briefed up before by the University and the AI department about the Robo Dog.
It is hard to believe that the representatives of Galgotias University which includes Neha Singh at the AI Summit claimed about the Robo Dog without any prior communication or briefing from the University.
Who is Neha Singh?
As per her Linkedin profile, Neha Singh is a professor working for Galgotias University since 2023. Before that she was working as Assistant Professor in Sharda University. From the Linkedin, one can see that the professor has worked as Communication and soft skills trainer in her earlier professional roles. Neha Singh did B.Com in Commerce from University of Allahabad followed by an MBA from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya.

There are strong rumors on social media that Galgotia University have made her the scapegoat and has fired Professor Neha Singh . The move appears as an distancing method by the University from the blunder that Prof Neha Singh made by alleging that the robo dog was made by Galgotias University.
The Registrar of the Galgotia University admitted in an interview that “it was a mistake” and that the professor Neha Singh not only made wrong choice of words but was not in charge also of explaining the Tech to the media people.
UPDATE: – In an interview with NewsTak, the Registrar of the Galgotia University has mentioned that they have not fired the Professor Neha Singh but have given her Show Cause notice for the choice of words that she used to explain about Robo Dog “Orion”.
