An old unseen footage of MS Dhoni has gone viral where he could be seen practicing throwing at the stumps from keeper’s end. The time was the 2016 T20 WC semi-final match between India and Bangladesh which India won by the barest of margins of 2 runs.

In the video, Dhoni could be seen practicing throwing at the stumps just before the final ball to be bowled by Hardik Pandya as he is anticipating a frantic run by both batsmen in order to tie the match atleast.

The video has garnered more than half a million views till now. Even the cameraman could be seen rejoicing when India won the match after Dhoni got the iconic run out.

Fans couldn’t resist praising Thala for his anticipatory skills. While Dhoni was practicing throwing at the stumps, he was also making field changes indicating that the upcoming ball will be a shorter one.

India won by the barest of margins

Bangladesh required under 11 runs in the final over and got two fours early in the first three balls. It looked like the game was over for Team India. However, things took a U turn and Bangladesh lost two crucial wickets in the hope of glory shot. On the final ball, the batsman missed the ball and ran away. Dhoni was smart enough as he had already taken off the glove of his right hand anticipating that he would be required to throw for a run out chance. Dhoni eventually ran towards the stump and got the run out snatching win from Bangladesh’s jaw.
