Delhi BMW Case is a tragic incident where a speeding BMW hit a motorcycle near Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi on 13th September 2025 at around 1 p.m. which resulted in the death of a Navjot singh, an official in the finance department while his wife Sandeep Kaur got critically injured. It is being reported that Navjot and his wife Sandeep Kaur where on the way back to home from Gurudwara. Wife Sandeep Kaur got hospitalized and is in serious condition at the time of writing this information. She had already underwent two immediate operations.

The court has extended judicial custody of Gaganpreet Makkad till atleast 27th of September. Counsels of both parties argued against each other on many aspects. Gaganpreet was represented by senior advocate Ramesh Gupta, who make a bizzare statement to the court that “if it’s a lady, you can give bail in cases of death sentence and life also” ^{Ref.Source:- NDTV}.

One of the shocking revealations were made that the accused did not suffer any major injury at the time of accident. This raises the question as to why Gagan Preet got admitted in the ICU which allowed her some time before eventually getting arrested. The prosecutor also highlighted that Gagan Preet took the severely injured to a faraway hospitals when there were so many well-equipped hospitals nearby ^{Ref.Source:- MoneyControl}.

As per the toxicology report received by the Delhi Police, Gaganpreet Makkad test results showed that there was no alcohol in her blood stream, thereby indiciating that she wasn’t drunk and driving when the accident happened ^Ref..

In what could only be described as a extremely surprising, Gaganpreet Makkad husband Pariskhit Makkad has given a statement to the police that he did not know how the accident actually happened. Parikshit Makkar also made a statement to the police acknowledging that the faraway hospital where they took the severely injured victim indeed belongs to his father-in-law.

According to Parikshit, he went to the hospital in a seperate taxi whereas his wife took a seperate taxi to carry the victims to the hospital of her father ^{Ref.Source:- TheNewsMill}.

Navjot Singh was a deputy secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs under the Finance Ministry. He was around 57 years of age as of September 2025.

As per reports, Navjot Singh was severly injured but alive after the accident. The car, a BMW was being driven by a female by the name of GaganPreet Kaur Makkad who is reportedly 38 years of age and lives in Gurugram.

It is being reported that at the time of accident, Gaganpreet was there in the car along with her husband Parkishit Makkad and kids including a 6 year old daughter sitting in the front and a 4 year old son sitting at the back with the husband ^{Ref. (16th Sep 2025)Source:- NDTV’s Youtube Channel}.

Ganganpreet, her husband and kids sustained injuries and were hospitalized. After nearly 24 hours, Gaganpreet was arrested by the Delhi Police.

Gaganpreet and her husband decided to take Navjot Singh and Sandeep Kaur to a faraway facility Nulife Multi Specialty Hospital in a taxi which is approx 20kms from the site of accident. Unfortunately, Navjot didn’t survived when he reached the hospital. Navjot’s son Navnoor singh opined that his father could have survived if he was taken to the nearby hospitals instead.

There are many reports which speculate that Navjot could have high chances of survival if he would have been taken to the nearby hospital but the accused decided to take him to a far away hospital Nulife Multi Specialty Hospital which is approx 20 km away. One of the police officials stated that Gaganpreet Kaur cited the reason of better facility at the faraway hospital which she experienced at the time of Covid. Navjot’s wife Sandeep Kaur also stated that she pleaded with Gaganpreet to take them to the nearby hospital but she purposely took them to a small hospital far away.

There are also reports that the faraway hospital where Gaganpreet took severely injured Navjot, belongs to her father who is one of the three co-owners. In an investigation by Republic World, they cited that Gagan preet Makkad’s father is Javinder Singh and that he indeed is the one of the owners of Nulife Multi Specialty Hospital where the sevrely injured Navjot Singh and his wife Sandeep Kaur were taken to ^{Ref. Mohammad Gulfam was the driver who took the critically injured Navjot Singh and his wife Sandeep Kaur in his Maruti Eeco porter car to NuLife Hospital in Azadpur. Mohammad Gulfam said that it was Gaganpreet who insisted on taking the injured to a faraway hospital ^{Ref.Source:- Hindustan Times}. Gulfam also said that when he reached with his van at the site of accident, many people were busy making videos of the injured people instead of trying to help them at the earliest.
