The matter between Sreesanth and Harbhajan appeared to have healed over the years, as both of them not only forgave each other but also rekindled their friendship like never before, until Harbhajan did the latest Flipkart advertisement.

Sreesanth has criticized Harbhajan Singh for his recent ad promotion, where in the ad script, Harbhajan Singh could be seen making a dialogue related to slapping a person tightly and taking a subtle jibe at Sreesanth.

Talking to LallanTop, Sreesanth expressed severe disappointment with the Flipkart ad, and he criticized the off-spinner for doing a commercial where he could be seen making a distasteful comment related to slapping.

“I genuinely don’t want to talk about him” Sreesanth said with a heavy voice when the discussion started about Harbhajan’s Flipkart commercial.

For those of you who have not seen the Flipkart commercial of Harbhajan, the off-spinner could be seen talking about slapping and uttering a word, Sri Maan, which strongly indicated his 2008 incident when he slapped the fast bowler in rage after the match got over.

“Do you know how many offers I got before this? So many advertisements based on that slap incident. I always said, “That was just an incident. He’s my elder brother. I have forgiven and forgotten. But after that incident, I changed myself. My parents always taught me: forgive—but never… excuse my language—but yes, forget.” Sreesanth said about Harbhajan

What made the episode even more shocking, according to Sreesanth, was that Harbhajan Singh’s wife, Geeta Basra, had personally asked him to share the advertisement on his social media accounts, and Sreesanth was ready to promote it. But before doing so, Sreesanth’s wife requested to see the script. It was only after reviewing it that Sreesanth realized the advertisement was portraying him in a negative light.

As per Sreesanth, he would have got nearly Rs 25 Lakhs for promoting that Flipkart ad of Harbhajan.

In the comment section of Flipkart’s advertisement, many of the netizens expressed disappointment and opined that Harbhajan Singh and Flipkart crossed the line. One could say that the off-spinner may have gotten a huge chunk of money to utter those lines which has now jeopardized the much healed relationship between him and Sreesanth.

Talking about Harbhajan’s Flipkart advertisement, Sreesanth expressed thanks to Lalit Modi for releasing the footage where one could see Harbhajan Singh hitting him. Strangely, both Harbhajan and Sreesanth condemned the footage released by Modi during their hearty conversation on Harbhajan’s and Geeta Basra’s podcast Who’s The Boss! But after seeing what Harbahajan has done on the Flipkart commercial, Sreesanth said that he is thankful to Lalit Modi for releasing that footage.
