Popular YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has slammed the Indian media for their coverage of the Iran vs Israel-US war in his latest Instagram reel. Rathee claims that many of the notable Indian media outlets have run fake news and videos to get TRP.
Rathee took the names of notable media personalities like Rahul Shivshankar (News 18), Anjana Om Kashyap, Aditya Raj Kaul (of NDTV), and others who he alleges have run fake videos related to bombings in the Middle East by Iran.
For the people who may not be aware, Anjana Om Kashyap had mistakenly run a premature report last year claiming Dharmendra’s death when the actor was actually alive and fighting for his life.

Many news outlets have even attributed Iran’s current crisis to unfavorable astrological alignments, which is why it is facing the current war.
Rathee recalled the time when Arnab Goswami’s name came up in his alleged WhatsApp chats celebrating Republic’s coverage on the Pulwama incident and calls for boycott of Indian media.
Government Ordered Indian Media of No Air Raid Siren on Videos During Op Sindoor Coverage
During last year’s tensions between India and Pakistan, several Indian news channels had reported claims such as the destruction of Karachi Port and other major developments. Many of those reports later turned out to be incorrect, prompting some channels to issue public apologies.
It is also worth noting that during the Op Sindoor coverage, many Indian news channels were running an air raid siren sound on their videos to mimic a missile threat environment. The government intervened and ordered the news channel not to use the siren sound as it was creating panic amongst the viewers.
