A video has gone viral on Twitter where a man can be seen giving severe thrashings to a woman in a public space, which looks like a restaurant.
In the video, the woman appears to be livestreaming or recording herself when all of a sudden, a man came from behind her and started slapping her severely. The video is extremely disturbing.
The Lady Is an Influencer? And was Mocking the Couple?
The vast majority of comments in the video believe that the woman recording the video is an influencer from Indonesia and was mocking the couple, and that the man, allegedly the husband, got infuriated to the level that he slapped her brutally many times. The wife could be seen trying to pull away from her husband, but to no avail.
As if beating the lady wasn’t enough, the man spat at her, too.
Befitting Reply Or Rage?
While people may opinion that the lady influencer had humiliated the couple, it raises a question whether such brutal assault is a befitting reply in such scenarios, or the man could have dealt with the matter in a non-violent way.

The video has gone viral and has accumulated nearly 6 million views till now, with nearly 5000 comments. One of the users rightly commented that “Mocking someone isn’t right… but violence is never the answer.“
Old or Latest Video?
We could not verify whether the clip is recent or an old one doing the rounds on social media. The possibility that this is a scripted video can also not be ignored, as people often make such videos to gain quick views!
However, a comment gained lots of eyeballs, which observes that the video is from 2024 and that the man was eventually arrested for the physical assault.
Whether old or recently released, physical assault may not be the right reply if someone humiliates you.
