In the raging controversy surrounding the viral Jeju detention case of Indian influencer Sachin Awasthi, Raj, the vocal Indian NRI living in South Korea, claims the story has been selectively framed by Sachin Awasthi, and the responsibility lies with Awasthi’s own missteps.

Although Sachin Awasthi has been making headlines with his story of wrongful detention on his attempt at entry into Jeju Island, the NRI opined that the unfortunate development was caused not by the ill will of the Korean authorities but by his own procedural mistakes.

NRI Tests Embassy IVR Claim By Awasthi, Says English Option Becomes Available After 15 seconds

The NRI, whose name is Raj, debunked the claim of Sachin Awasthi, who opined that he wasn’t able to access the Indian Embassy by phone because of the IVR language in Korea.

The NRI cross-checked this claim on his recent vlog and opined that the IVR language provides the English option after 15 seconds from the start of the call; a stark contrast to Sachin Awasthi’s claim that reaching the Indian Embassy telephonically was impossible due to the availability of the IVR in the Korean Language only.

NRI Voices Sachin Awasthi Should Take Accountability, Not Blame Immigration

Raj, who has been living in South Korea for the last 12 years and is married to a Korean wife, opined that Sachin Awasthi may not have given satisfactory answers to the immigration officers, which led to his detention.

Raj often depicts the problems faced by Indians on his YouTube channel and emphasizes the importance of paper documents and financial proof, the absence of which can create a hurdle for immigration clearance, especially at Jeju Island.

In light of the controversy related to Sachin Awasthi and his wife, the Indian embassy issued guidelines that strictly mention having paper of necessary documents along with a detailed itinerary.
