Galgotias University is in spotlight and not for the right reasons. After the embarrasment India is facing due to Neha Singh’s tall claims, another story related to the same university is going viral and for the wrong reasons.
Netizens are sharing the story when the Galgotias University have published in 2024; a hypothesis that Sound vibrations of Thali and Ghanti can kill the Coronovirus.
This story was highlighted by the LiverDoc, back in 2024 where he urged parents not to enroll in the Galgotias University despite being awarded as the best private university by the PM Narendra Modi.
The LiverDoc highlights that Galgotias published the hypothesis in a predatory journal and not the original journal.
What is the difference between Predatory Journal and Original Journal?
For the people who don’t know, predatory journals usually have a weak peer review and are known to charge fees for publishing the paper.
Original journals like Nature, The Lancet have very strong and credible peer-review systems that prevent misinformation from being released into the awareness of the common man.
Galgotias University Covid Paper Got Retracted?
But what is more eyebrow-raising is that the published hypothesis paper by Galgotias University was retracted even from the predatory journal, reflecting a strong mistrust in the hypothesis that the author has produced in the paper that Covid Virus can be killed by the Sound vibrations of Thalis and Ghantis.
Later on, Dr. Santosh Yadav, who claims to be a senior scientist, tweeted that the paper has been retracted and that disciplinary action was taken agains the author and editor.

In 2020, when the pandemic was affecting millions of people in India, Galgotias had published a hypothesis paper related to the act of making noise from utensils that can kill the CoronaVirus. PM Narendra Modi, in March 2020, had encouraged Indians to come out of their balcony and make sounds to feel unity in the difficult times. The move was criticised severely by the media.
