A latest viral video from a local park has once again introduced the debatable issue of moral policing into the highlight. In the clip, a young couple sitting peacefully is faced and questioned aggressively by the Munesh Dedha, who accuses them of “wrong public behavior.” A fierce argument followed, which soon triggered intense internet debates.
It is true that at the starting of the video, the couple seemed to be sitting in an affectionate manner on a bench in the park at night and the right authority should have taken the necessary step however, the parshad Munesh Dedha seemed to take law in her hand and threatened the couple to jail time.
Is this a situation of someone acting like a “reel star” to gain views and fame on social media, or is it a case of genuine concern for public decency? Over the years, many bureacrats including IAS and IPS have emerged who talk trash, misuses power to make social media videos to get views and fame under the disguise of doing ground work and spreading awareness.

Showing Couple’s Faces on Video?
The Parshad and her team failed to blur the video before posting it on their Instagram. In the video, one can clearly see the face of the boy and girl who the parshad is scolding severely and threatening them with jail time. In many comments, people have even tagged Delhi Police Official to make them aware about the behaviour and conduct of the counsellor with the young couple.

Soft Demeanour on News Channel?
While the counsellor had an aggressive demeanour while scolding the young couple and threatening them with jail time, she appeared humble and down to earth when reporter from News18 asked her whether she has the legal rights to stop anyone sitting in the park to which she replied that she didn’t stopped the couple from sitting and neither stopped them from anything. She further claims that she was only stopping young girls who were taking drugs in the park. In the end of the video, she tries to clarify that her intent was not to insult the couple.
