It has been a few days when Sana Mir used Cricket as a playground for her political narrative. While talking about Natalia Pervaiz during the game against Bangladesh, she uttered the word “Azad Kashmir” after saying “Kashmir”. Now a recent video of her has surfaced where she could be seen condeming the act of Team India for withholding handshake with Pakistani team in Asia Cup match on 14th September 2025.
According to her, Indian players were under pressure because their legends team had done similar thing when they backed out against Pakistan in legends league match in July 2025.
She also accused the ICC for being biased towards India. According to her, the ICC was strict in its action when they reprimanded Usman Khwaja for voicing his support to Palestine. She also opined that the likes of Mohsin Naqvi was helpless when India declined handshake in 14th September Asia cup match against Pak.
From the sentiments of Sana Mir, it appears to us that she sought for Tit For Tat and therefore could have deliberately made the statement “Azad Kashmir” in order to hurt the sentiments of the Indians knowing fully well that her commentary feed would be aired in India.
