A post on X has caught attention, in which a man ordered non-veg but received foul-smelling food from the restaurant. The post also alleges that there appears to be a jawbone with teeth, which indicates that the meat could be from a dog also. The post has raised eye brows of the netizens.

In the post on X by Parthibhan R, he alleges that he had ordered the non-veg from Champaaran restaurant, but the aroma and texture of the meat did not resemble that of a goat. What disturbed him was the presence of a jawbone that had three teeth on it.

The alleged restaurant appears to be located in Delhi.

Dog Meat?

Many users on Twitter have responded sarcastically that the jawbone resembles that of a dog. The user OP also opined that he suspects that the restaurant had sent him dog meat instead. He pointed out that the texture of the meat was not tender like mutton and there was a distinct foul smell, which generally does not come from goat mutton.

The OP has tagged FSSAI, Delhi Government, and Zomato in his post.

Zomato Responds

The post caught the attention of Zomato, and they responded that they had ordered a full refund to the OP. However, it begs concern whether a refund is enough to cause a distress experienced by a buyer who had ordered from Zomato with full trust.

Questions need to be asked of Zomato whether they have any policy to penalise restaurant who sell foul-smelling meat (or meat of banned animals)
