Youtuber and actress Sambhavna Seth has revealed a recent ordeal where her maid’s sister, also a house help, was confined forcefully by a couple in Kharghar society.
Sambhavna Seth revealed that the sister of their maid was illegally confined, threatened, and prevented from leaving the residence of a couple in Mumbai’s Kharghar area, where she had reportedly been employed as a house help through a domestic help agency.
The maid’s sister was hired recently through a placement agency.
It appears that the maid’s sister and the flat’s advocate couple went into disagreement after nine days regarding the work, and the maid’s sister requested the placement agency to replace her with another maid for the couple.
However, the advocate couple refused to honor the request and confined the househelp as per Sambhavna.

As per Sambhavna, the sister of the maid alleged that she was threatened by the owners not to leave the residence and was confined. Sambhavna alleges that during her conversation with the lady of the flat, she heard abuses and threats from the lady towards the maid’s sister.

The YouTubers further alleged that the placement agency had initially approached Kharghar Police seeking assistance but did not receive immediate help.
With the help of a lady from an NGO who stayed in the same society where the maid’s sister was hired, three other women from the placement agency went to the owners and made sure the maid’s sister escaped quickly from the flat.
Somehow, the maid’s sister ran down from the 30th floor to the 1st floor, where she finally escaped successfully from that building.
Sambhavna claimed that after the woman was rescued, a complaint and later an FIR were registered with the assistance of Bangur Nagar Police Station, where statements and medical evidence were reportedly recorded.
As per Sambhavna, the house help is badly injured in the quest of running for her life from the 30th to the 1st floor.
Sambhavna Seth and Avinash Dwivedi have assured all possible help in the matter and have emphasized that they may reveal more information on the vlog if appropriate action is not taken by the relevant law authorities.
