After the dramatic rise of the RHA page (Reservation Hatao Aandolan (Movement)) where they gained nearly 3 million followers in a day, a counter-movement has started by the name of AJP (Anti-Reservation Janata Protest), which aims to allow the existence of reservations in the Indian system, which it alleges the RHA is fighting against.
On its Instagram profile, it says that the national convenor is Aditya Raj Singh, who has been a content creator for quite some time on as a Policy & Political Analyst.
The AJP profile has gained 50K followers at the time of writing this post.
Is the AJP Really Different from RHA As Claimed by Them?
As per the convenor, the upper-caste citizens of the country have faced most of the trouble in the form of lesser opportunities due to reservation, false SC/ST cases, etc.
Upon inspection of the AJP values, we found that much of their ideological belief resembles with RHA movement.
As per AJP, RHA is calling for the removal of casteism at all levels, while AJP demands the strict abolition of discrimination faced by a person based on his/her caste, which is happening in this country.
As per the manifesto shared by AJP, the movement proposes equal laws for Social and Equal Atrocity for all castes, through which the magnitude of punishment is decided based on the gravity of the crime committed by the individual without considering his/her caste.
